Too Fast to Fall

Too Fast to Fall was produced in the Mills Black Box Theatre at Coe College. It was my senior project in cooperation with the other senior theatre major. I designed the set and lights, as well as built and painted the set. The play was written by a Coe professor. Too Fast to Fall was a play that walked the line between reality and the fantasy made up by a woman suffering from dementia, a line I emphasized by saturating the stage with playful colors. I purposely chose light colors for the set so the reality vs. fantasy lighting would read more clearly. The light wall also played a huge role in defining this line as the old woman would sit and wait by the windows onto the balcony for Amelia Earheart to fly by and take her away.
